911 HALO – System Unification
What is 911 HALO?
911 HALO is the Phase One solution that connects phones, cameras, access control, and paging systems into a single, coordinated response platform accessible from any device.
What systems does it integrate?
It integrates VoIP/PBX phone systems, video surveillance, access control, public address systems, and other security technologies — with over 370 compatible offerings to date.
Does it replace existing systems?
No. It enhances and extends your current investments by unifying them into one coordinated platform. No apps are required; the system is browser-based and leverages existing infrastructure with minimal additional hardware.
How quickly can it be deployed?
Most deployments are completed within six to ten weeks, depending on system complexity and district size.
How does it improve emergency response?
It enables real-time situational awareness and immediate action, reducing response time from minutes to seconds. 911 HALO also notifies designated facility and operations staff automatically — enabling them to secure access points, manage building systems, and coordinate with administrators and first responders within the same unified platform.
Location Discovery Service (LDS)
What is LDS?
Location Discovery Service provides precise, real-time location of 911 callers across campus environments — inside and outside buildings, including classrooms, parking lots, and athletic fields. No app is required; it works automatically with cellular and VoIP systems.
How does this help first responders?
It guides responders directly to the exact location of an emergency, eliminating delays and improving outcomes.
Compliance
SAS HALO supports all major federal and state school safety requirements:
- Kari's Law — enables direct 911 dialing and immediate on-site notification
- Ray Baum's Act — delivers dispatchable location information including detailed location data
- Alyssa's Law — integrates panic buttons, alerts, and emergency notifications
Early Threat Detection (Phase Two)
Early Threat Detection identifies concealed threats before they enter a school environment using passive, non-invasive millimeter-wave technology powered by Syght, Inc. It detects weapons at a distance and in motion — without slowing entry or disrupting normal student and staff flow. Alerts integrate directly into the 911 HALO platform for immediate response. The technology is non-ionizing and safe for continuous use.
Implementation & Support
- Cloud-based integration with installation support through a national network of certified technicians
- Comprehensive staff and administrator training included
- Scales from single schools to large districts and statewide deployments
- Requires existing IP-based systems, network connectivity, and basic system mapping for integration
